'Geist' by Mark Hemmings

2/20/2006 Permalink 0 Comments
GeistMark Hemmings, a New Brunswick, Canada, based artist, manages to recreate the effect of black and white films from the 1920's with 'Geist'. He used a Nikon Coolpix to take 1500 images that were processed in Photoshop and then edited in Final Cut Pro. Because he used high-res digital photos, the film can be viewed in 35mm and not lose any resolution.

This macabre film is eerie and reminds me of the original 'Nosferatu' from 1922, which is one of the creepiest films of all time.
