Pete Litwinowicz sent this little teaser to the AE-List today. RE:Vision Effects will be putting out a new plug-in for AE but he didn't divulge the name. Any guesses? I'm guessing RE:Masker.
The features:
- Variable edge feathering using a second spline that controls the feather amount (the distance between the original mask and the feather mask controls the feather amount).
- Uses AE's masks, so there is no new interface to learn
- Better motion blur: this plugin will have the ability to use the motion
blur found in ReelSmart Motion Blur to blur the mask instead of AE's multiple-time sampling method. Note that this plugin uses the shutter angle and phase settings found in AE's advanced composition settings to perform the RSMB-style motion blur
Price: To be determined
Availability: To be determined, but the official answer is "soon". :-)
Compatibility: AE 6.5 or later
See it at booth SL3827A at NAB in Las Vegas next week.
