Adds plug-in support for Adobe CS3 Professional, expanded hardware support for a range of ATI cards

Marlborough MA March 26, 2008 - Boris FX, the leading developer of integrated effects technology for video and film, announced that Boris Blue version 2.5 is now available. In addition to offering a standalone and Avid AVX plug-in, the 3D motion graphics solution Boris Blue now offers plug-in support for Adobe CS3 Professional running on Windows XP. Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro users can create with unprecedented speed a wide range of professional grade 3D effects; including high quality - extruded text and extruded EPS import as well as 3D model import complete with 3D cameras and lights, cast ray-traced shadows, bump maps and reflections.

Within the Adobe Premiere Pro editor, Boris Blue appears as a filter, a single track transition effect, and can also be used to generate a composition clip. In Adobe After Effects Boris Blue is available as a filter capable of utilizing up to 7 tracks from the After Effects timeline as video inputs.

Adobe and Avid Plug-in Integration for Windows XP systems; AVX and Adobe plug-in integration provides convenience and simplifies workflow.

Particles - Use any 3D object as a particle, including extruded shapes and imported 3D Models. Multiple attractors and repellers provide dynamic particle interaction. Sprite-based particles simulate Fire, Smoke and Sparks.

Enhanced Extrusions - Create custom bevels by defining a curve with spline drawing tools. Extrude text, spline primitives, free hand spline drawings and imported EPS files.

Import 3D models in the .3ds and .obj formats, preserving individual geometry groups.

Deformers, Image Processors and Generators - Vertex Deformers provide true 3D warping of 3D objects. Blue's Deformers, Image Processors and Generators are fully hardware accelerated for blazing speed.

Materials including Bump Maps and Reflections- Materials include per pixel lighting controls and texture, bump and reflection mapping. They are also are fully hardware accelerated for optimum speed.

Boris Blue 2.5 is available today through the Boris FX worldwide reseller channel and direct through the Boris FX web site at www.borisfx.com for an MSRP of $995.00. Boris Red owners can add Boris Blue 2.5 for $295.00.

Boris Blue 2.5 is a free update for Blue 2.0 customers. Earlier versions of Blue can be upgraded to version 2.5 for $295.00.
