Carl Larsen created this amazing tutorial for a horizon replacement in Imagineer mocha for After Effects v2. I am blown away by how convincing his video looks! He is replacing a regular sky with an alpine scene, with realistic paralax shifting. Above is the before and after. Impressive, eh. Here's the tutorial.

Wow... crazy.
Carl, this is insane!!! so awesome!
amazing effect! love the tutorial, but i think you should consider improving the quality of the video. These days you can upload to youtube or vimeo in hd quality for free.
While the quality of Vimeo is outstanding, they have a clause that you can't put any sort of advertising up there and we couldn't link back to products in our store. I agree though, that the video quality could be better. The original of this tutorial is fantastic. We're using NING for the video hosting, as the social network was already built in and we could use our own URL. On the downside, the videos are limited to 100mb in size. We're still looking for the perfect video host.
Great.
