Inspirations

Nakd Grafitti

David Karlak sent me this link, Nakd, asking me how I thought they achieved this. He told me that the creator took multiple stills and affected them, but would not give up his technique. I told him that I thought they probably laid the whole thing out in a huge Illustrator or Photoshop file and created the grafitti and fills, then imported everything into AE with layers. This would've been broken up into shots or scenes, of course. Then, lots of masking and positioning and keyframing ensued. What's your theory? It's very cool, don'cha think?

Rodrigo Monterani

Check out Mr. Monterani's demo. I really like this guys work - the simplicity and style. I really dig the bit wit the dots and the Americas which become Antartica. This is just quite a bit different than most of the work listed here in Inspirations... and probably more along the lines of what many of you do from day to day. The music reminds me of something from Down With Love - fun flick.

No me llames frijolero

Frijolero.... a cool song by a band called Molitov and an even cooler video. I mean it. The video is really amazing - tons of roto. Jason Archer & Paul Beck have pulled off a feat. The video won a Latin Grammy and an MTVLA award for video of the year.
