iPod Commercials

Logan is responsible for the iPod spots. While you're there, check out their other work (see the videos and spots on the upper left menu).

I'd say they established the "It" look in 2004.

The Call of Cthulhu Teaser

12/24/2004 Permalink 0 Comments
The HP Lovecraft Historical Society has released The Call of Cthulhu Teaser. It's a black and white short film with an orchestral score and intertitles and looks impressively like the films from the 20's.

I'm curious to know what sort of software was used to make the film look effect. DigiEffects Cinelook or Magic Bullet Suite would be my guess.

If you know anything else about this film, please leave a comment.

Studio Arsenic | ShowReel starts out with some gentle, classical Japanese scenes then moves into some groovy, fun work. Lots of style and originality.

What the Bleep Do We Know!? - The Movie

12/21/2004 Permalink 1 Comments
What the Bleep Do We Know!? The title makes you think it could be another "Dude, Where's My Car?" type of romp, but this looks like Stephen Hawkins and the Matrix creators got together and had a baby.

According to the site: "With over 300 Visual Effects (VFX) shots, WT*DWK!? could be classified a special effects movie. Not only are there a plethora of shots, but the style and techniques of the shots are plentiful as well. There are pure Computer Generated Image (CGI) shots of the mysterious Quantum world and the interior of the brain. There are composited shots of the sub atomic world interacting with our actors, as well as little animated characters lampooning our emotional foibles."

The animators, who come from all over the globe, spent over a year putting it together.
