Freestyle Collective did the design and animation for this awesome animation for Jet Blue. The cutout aspect reminds me a bit of early South Park, but this is highly detailed. It's fun to watch and just clever.

Postworks chats about the lively and quirky new children's show, 'Come on Over', which premieres this Saturday. Postworks edits the show and develops the playful motion graphics and whimsical Flash website. We discuss the development and workflow of the episodes and how they overcame production issues. The whole show is just loveable.
My friend Alicia sent me this engaging video transformation. At first I thought it was a makeover video but it's nothing like that. Watch in amazement. The tagline "No wonder our perception of beauty is distorted" says it all.
The video was done by Reginald Pike director Yael Staav for Dove's campaign for real beauty. This is exactly the type of thing I was showing to my Photoshop class last year.
Creamyorange's Nick Campbell made this experimental carnival entirely in Adobe After Effects without the help of any 3D program. This is EXTREMELY difficult to do and I'm really impressed. I can't imagine how much time and effort went into this. I know this has been around for a couple of years, but it's still very cool.

Justin Cone at Motionographer posted this hillarious and violent video of the Battle of Famous Album Covers. The spot was created for Fluid Battle of the AdBands in NYC. I can't imagine how much time this must've taken!
Another student project, this one is Burn Burn by Heiner Twenhafel. This is the text animation project and his timing and eye for clean, fast paced animation... I really think this guy is going places! He blew away the class and totally raised the bar for the next project.

The assignment I gave my class was to use the advanced text engine in After Effects and animate :30 seconds. David Rigoli's 'Dr. Jr.' piece was one of my favorites.
All of the sections of the letters are letters themselves. He animated each either fully by hand or by modifying presets. He used 3 tracks of audio that he created himself. Not quite sure about the bubbles but David wanted to throw in something that you wouldn't expect to see and keep it fun.
