Conoa announces Keep Color plug-in for Conoa EasyFX

2/28/2008 Permalink 0 Comments share on linkedin
Conoa has updated the EasyFX plug-in set to include the new Keep Color plug-in.

conoaconoaConoa Keep Color is a new addition to the EasyFX plug-in set. It is similar to the native Leave Color plug-in for After Effects, but with more controls. Keep Color allows you to select up to four colors and 'keep' those colors while the rest of your media turns to grayscale, in contrast to the single color allowed by Leave Color. Keep Color lets you set the strength and fall-off of each color independently, in addition to being to set the channel-matching criteria. Keep Color will also allow you to "invert" your selection, so the only the selected colors get converted to grayscale and all other colors remain intact. It would be very hard to produce the M&M picture or the soccer image without Conoa Keep Color.

Conoa Keep Color is available as a free upgrade to all Conoa EasyFX and Conoa SuperPak v2.1 (and higher) customers.

Conoa EasyFX is available for $109 or as part of Conoa SuperPak for $349. All Conoa plug-ins work with Macs and PCs. On Mac, Conoa plug-ins are built as both PPC-native and Universal Binary plug-ins, work with AE 5 through CS3, and FCP 3 through FCP 6, and run on Panther, Tiger and Leopard. On PCs, Conoa plug-ins work with Win2K and Win XP.

conoa SuperPakConoa is releasing Conoa SuperPak 3.0, featuring Conoa 3D Layer. Conoa is also releasing Conoa FreeStreak, a free plug-in for everyone.

Conoa 3D Layer, a Conoa-produced plug-in originally available from Digital Anarchy, is now available directly from Conoa! Conoa 3D Layer allows you to create a three-dimensional layer with visible 'thickness' that can be bent, warped, and modeled. Your 3D layer is shaped and animated by grayscale maps, and uses a true mesh as an easy, familiar method for distortion and animation. Texture the layer on any side with movies, stills or pre-comps; punch holes in the mesh; or model its outside edge.

Conoa 3D Layer is available for $179 or as part of Conoa SuperPak for $349. Upgrades, which now include Conoa 3D Layer are also available.

Conoa announces the immediately availability of FreeStreak, a plug-in that creates a set of streaks based on any row or column of your image. Best of all, it is free! Simply download the updated demo installer and you will receive FreeStreak along with demo versions of the other Conoa plug-ins. It is also included in the updated production plug-in installer. (Note: we'll have the new demo up shortly.)

Conoa 3D Layer is a great fit with their product line and they have a deal for you! The Conoa SuperPak now includes 3D Layer and the price has not increased. If you already own Conoa SuperPak, you can upgrade for just $59 and get 3D Layer, which retails for $179 (so this is a great opportunity for existing Conoa customers to get this terrific new offering from Conoa.

6/12/2007 Permalink 0 Comments share on linkedin
conoaCAMBRIDGE, Mass. - June 12, 2007 Conoa, Inc. announces the release and immediate availability of new versions of its entire product line for video effects and motion graphics. The new plug-ins to video editing and compositing systems now support universal binaries and will run natively on both Intel- and PowerPC-based Macintosh systems. In addition to universal binary support, Conoa Alphafy, part of the Conoa EasyFX package, has been updated. It now offers the ability to convert any media into an animated gradient.
