Alicia and I will be holding down a booth at the Rocky Mountain VidExpo at the Denver International Airport Crown Plaza Convention Center. I was reading that this is the world's largest Crown Plaza. Woo hoo! We'll be showing plug-ins from Red Giant, Digieffects, Noise Industries, Boris FX, Trapcode and more. Come by and ask us for a demo!

Also, I'll be going over some great Third Party Plug-ins for Video more formallon on Thursday at 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Michele Yamazaki will show you some of the hottest, most useful video, including Red Giant's Magic Bullet Looks, Boris Continuum Complete, Digieffects Damage, a few from Trapcode and more. Need to create an effect or fix a problem with video? Chances are, Michele knows the right tool for the job.

Also, 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Advanced Keying for Professionals, in support of the book I finished recently with Jeremy Hanke of MicroFilmmaker Magazine, called GreenScreen Made Easy (out in April 09).

Michele will walk you through the basics and onto advanced keying techniques in Adobe After Effects using The Foundry Keylight and Red Giant Primatte Keyer Pro. Learn about pre-processing footage, making garbage masks, stacking mattes and everything you need to know about pulling a great key. She'll also show you a fantastic way to match your foreground and background footage and give several tips along the way.

We have a lot going on in the coming couple of months. Here's a brief rundown.

I'll be teaching some Apple Motion Seminars at the conference. As far as conferences go, this one is very inexpensive and there are excellent classes being held. Plus, Mt. Pleasant is home to the world famous Sweet Onion restaurant. :-)

Oct 8-9 - Rocky Mountain VidExpo, Denver, CO.
