Wondering what plug-ins will work in AE7?

  • Synthetic Aperture Test Gear - Bob Currier, Synthetic Aperture, posted to AE-List - "With AE 7.0 Adobe requires all Mac plug-ins that use ADM (the pre-7.0 user interface library) to be converted to MachO-style plug-ins. That part is done. But since Adobe no longer uses ADM themselves, they didn't notice that some things got broken in 7.0. It took us a while to come up with workarounds (mostly moving some items out of wing menus) hence the delay. We are aiming to have a version of Test Gear (among other things, he hinted broadly) shipping by NAB (2006)."

Ultimatte settings draws in the wrong place on the screen (draws all the way on the left side of the screen) and is unclickable. A workaround I've found is to move the Effects Control panel to the far left side of the After Effects interface.
