Description
Using Pro Import FCP, you can import OMF 2.0 compositions into Final Cut Pro 4.1 or 4.5. You won't need EDLs anymore to get your edited sequences from Avid to FCP.
Pro Import FCP can translate 29.97fps (NTSC) and 25fps (PAL) sequences. 24fps is not currently supported. Import from ProTools or other DAWs is also not supported.
Pro Import FCP can import OMF 2.0 files exported from Avid editing systems back to MC version 7.x (Xpress version 2.x).
The translation from Avid to FCP is quite rich! Many Avid effects are translated into Final Cut!
