Description

ReSizer provides algorithms for intelligently resizing footage and images. This gives you great flexibility in the way that you scale images in After Effects and Final Cut Pro.

The plugin produces extraordinary results, regardless of whether you're up-converting from SD to HD or zooming in 800%. !ReSizer is perfect for both of these tasks. Multiple algorithms are used to accurately increase the resolution of your original image. We've even added a deinterlacer to version 2.0.

The combination of these technologies makes for unsurpassed quality when increasing the resolution of video or film.

How version 2.0 works

If you're used to working with ReSizer 1.0, you'll find some pleasant changes in ReSizer 2.0. To begin with, the two version operate differently.

In version 1.0, you apply the plugin directly to your footage. In version 2.0, you set down a Solid layer in After Effects (or a slug in Final Cut Pro).

Then you apply the plugin to that Solid, and designate its 'Source' as the footage that you want to resize.

Scale the width and height

There are a few ways to scale ReSizer 2.0 footage. One way is to select the 'Use Percentage Values' checkbox. This will activate the 'Width' and 'Height' values to scale your footage proportionately by percentage.

A second method is uncheck that box. This will activate the 'Scale Width' and 'Scale Height' parameters, and scale your footage by increments.

use presets for scaling

You can also use the 'Preset' popup to set your width and height. This sets your footage to a certain pre-made industry standard proportion.

The 'Scale Width' and 'Scale Height' options will automatically adjust to the preset that's chosen.

We haven't included ALL of the recognized proportions - that would be a really long list! - but the most important ones are here.

set the aspect ratio

The 'Source Aspect Ratio' also helps you set proportions. This option tells !ReSizer what its target output device is. For instance, is your footage being prepared for American TV, European TV, or film?

the new de-interlacer

If you're working with Standard Definition interlaced footage, !ReSizer 2.0 has a de-interlacer that makes use of motion compensation.

Multiple frames of your interlaced footage are analyzed and the missing scanlines are intelligently reconstructed. This produces greater fidelity to the original image.
