Host ID

From PlugInFinder

Jump to: navigation, search

A Host ID (aka MAC Address) is needed to generate an unlock code for many software applications and plug-ins. On a Mac it is called an Ethernet ID. On Windows it is called the Physical Address.

How do I find my Host ID?

On Macintosh

1. Open System Preferences > Network and double click Built-in Ethernet.

2. From there, navigate to the last tab that is labeled "Ethernet".

3. There you will find your Ethernet ID. It will look similar to: 00:16:cd:95:a8:41

On Windows

1. Go to Start and at the command prompt type IPCONFIG /all (there's a space between IPCONFIG and /all).

2. Look for the "Physical address". It will look similar to: 00:16:cd:95:a8:41.
