Instant HD up-converts DV video into a variety of HD video formats. Choose from a list of preset resolutions to easily integrate DV video into your next High Definition production. When scaling from standard definition (SD) to high definition (HD), Instant HD's algorithms generate the missing pixels with integrated sharpening and anti-aliasing for sharp, clear results inside your favorite video application.

Essential Controls
Five simple controls allow you to specify output size, filter types, sharpness, anti-aliasing, and quality settings, and preview your results in seconds. Integrated sharpening and anti-aliasing controls reduce the "fuzziness" and/or jagged lines that are often a telltale sign of up-conversion.
Resolution Presets
Choose from over 40 resolution presets for the most popular screen sizes, or enter a custom size to render to any resolution you like. Instant HD will automatically choose the most effective of two scaling options for your destination resolution. A Lock Aspect Ratio setting helps avoid image distortion or unnatural stretching.
Includes Resizer 2.2
Following the acquisition of Digital Anarchy, Red Giant Software has integrated the Resizer plug-in as part of the Instant HD package. The filter offers great speed, a host of resizing controls, similar results to Instant HD and integrated deinterlacing controls, making the package an even greater value.

Our tests have shown that our products perform best when used with the system configurations listed below. Although many of our products will run on older or less-powerful systems, those listed below are the minimum system requirements which we support.

Host Applications
Instant HD runs in a variety of host applications. Each purchase and serial number allows the owner to use the product on more than one host application but only on a single computer at any one time. Except where noted, the features are the same in all systems and host applications.
