Description
Starglow is a fast-rendering multi-directional glow effect. It can be used to create multi-colored star shaped glints like those created by a camera filter. Each customizable glow consists of up to eight directions, and each direction can be assigned an individual color map and streak length offering endless possibilities.

Powerful Presets
Twenty-nine spectacular and popular presets include Aura, Romance, Mars, Chemistry, or Electric. Each of these presets can be fully modified by the user, with individual controls for eight directional points, color maps, shimmer, complex gradients, and streak length.
Dazzling reflections
Simulate dazzling stars or reflections of light on water by using Starglow on clips of the sky or on real or simulated water. Any bright highlights in the clip will be accentuated in Starglow, to dazzling effect. As seen on the Discovery Channel, Toyota Scion commercials, and countless music videos.
High-quality rendering
Get professional results on multiple platforms, with 32-bit support (After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Motion) and 16-bit support (Avid AVX, Premiere Pro). Render times measured in frames per second means there's no downside to quality.
Examples
Magical Reveal
Starglow works great with particles! These particles were created with Trapcode 3D Stroke. Shine was used for initial coloring, and Starglow to make the particles look like small stars with orange, red and purple rays.
Psunami Starglow Reveal
This movie illustrates how Starglow can be used to make CG renderings look more realistic. We used a water loop created with the Red Giant Psunami plug-in. Starglow was applied with the "Warm Heaven 2" preset, a streak length of 9.0, and a threshold of 115.0 to generate a realistic reflection off the water surface.
Starglow Text Reveal
In this example, two instances of Starglow were used on top of a logo created with 3D Stroke. The first instance provides the long faint streaks on the text in the background, while the second uses the Mask control with an animated centerpoint that moves back and forth across the logo and appears to light up the text.

Our tests have shown that our products perform best when used with the system configurations listed below. Although many of our products will run on older or less-powerful systems, those listed below are the minimum system requirements which we support.

Trapcode Starglow runs in a variety of host applications. Each purchase and serial number allows the owner to use the product on more than one host application, but only on a single computer at any one time. Except where noted, the features are the same in all systems and host applications.
