CINEMA 4D Studio's character tools make it easy to create character rigs and advanced character animations. Adding hair or fur to characters is fast and simple with a powerful suite of hair tools that let you grow, comb, style and animate. The physics engine, which has been overhauled in R12, makes it simple to perform complex collisions and interaction between objects, be it a few or thousands. Network rendering allows you to take advantage of all computers on your network to help render your animations faster.

Modeling
CINEMA 4D Studio can import and export a variety of file formats to integrate in almost every pipeline. The modeling toolset allows to work with parametric or polygon objects, subsivision surfaces and all kinds of deformers and modifiers. CINEMA 4D nonlinear modeling allows changes to parametric objects at anytime and at the same time being lightweight and fast.
Materials and Textures
CINEMA 4D offers all standard and advanced options for creating the perfect surface for your models. Materials have 14 different channels and you can even custom channels for specific needs (such as game engines). Use images or movies as textures or advanced shaders such als Subsurface Scattering or backlight. For high end texturing CINEMA 4D offers an industry standard 3D painting toolset.
Animation
When it comes to animation CINEMA 4D Studio is a Jack of all trades. Of course it features all the standard animation tool you'd expect from a high end 3D package. But CINEMA 4D Studio has so much more to offer. An advanced character animation toolset, all new rigid and softbody dynamics, a cloth simulation, an event based particle system, cloners and effectors and even natural Hair waving in the wind.
