7D ISO 5600 noise reduction test with Neat Video, by Patrick Lawler
"Last night I bought Neat Video's amazing HD noise reduction plug-in for Final Cut Pro and tested it out on this footage. It reduced the noise by an incredible amount and made the footage much better! Of course a lot of detail and sharpness is lost, but the image is usable!"
NeatVideo: Noise reduction that’s actually worth using, review by David Mackenzie, Lyris Lite
"If you shoot video on anything other than a top of the range pro camera - and maybe even if you do that too - or if you want to clean up ugly old VHS recordings - then buy it!"
Neat Video Noise Reduction”, review by Steve Douglas
"My bottom line is that, of all the noise reduction filters I have seen and used, Neat Video's plug in is, by far, the most efficacious. Remember that I tested this with less than quality footage. When applied to a 10 second clip, rendering took 6.5 minutes, just enough time for me to raid the fridge and get back to work. While it could be frustrating to find a large enough portion of a frame to analyze, once done and applied the results were amazing. I did not test the limited function, demo available on Neat Video's site. That said you owe it to yourself to try it. My initial reaction hasn't changed; I was shocked at how well it worked."
Reducing Noise in Apple Final Cut Pro, review by Jan Ozer, in Digital Content Producer
"All of us shoot (or are shot) in low-light situations, which inevitably results in noise. While not a panacea, the Neat Video noise reduction plug-in does a great job improving the quality of your video footage, with an easy interface for novices, and advanced configuration options for more technical users. It's hard to imagine any video producer who couldn't benefit from owning this affordable, highly effective plug-in."
