CINEMA 4D includes the ability to export composition files that can be imported straight into After Effects. This feature greatly enhances the workflow between CINEMA 4D and After Effects.
Multipass Rendering:
The new After Effects export feature allows you to render out multipass QuickTimes along with a specialized reference file, which can be imported into After Effects as a complete composition. Here you can manipulate each layer separately giving you maximum control over your animation and compositing.
The new After Effects plug-in even allows separated lights to be brought in as nested compositions.
3D Light and Camera import
Adobe After Effects now gives you the ability to use 3D camera and light data, directly inside the application. You can bring in the CINEMA 4D camera, including focal length, position and rotation, as well as lights, along with their position, rotation, intensity, color and shadow. They will appear as completely animated native After Effects cameras and lights.
Available from After Effects 5.5 up only!
Adobe After Effects even allows you to import CINEMA 4D RLA and RPF file formats.
The possibilities are almost endless - take a look at the examples below!
