June Sale, Part 2 : Add the Camera

[1],[2]

  1. To add the camera, go to Layer>New>Camera. Set it to Custom and use the settings below. Or, use your own settings.
    camera
  2. Twirl down Camera 1 in the timeline, then twirl down Transform. Set the following values and set keyframes.

    First Frame

    Point of Interest: 317.1, 167.1, 23.0
    Position: -294.0, 6.0, -106.8

    Last Frame

    Point of Interest: 327, 153.7, 47.9
    Position: -211.2, 9.0, -195.2
I got these values by dragging the arrows around in the timeline using the camera tools. I don't want to get into controlling the camera in this tutorial, but go ahead and try it out if you've never done it before. It's a little tricky to wrap your brain around if you have bad depth perception, like I do.

Add the Lights

  1. First, let's add a Point Light. Layer>New>Light. Set the Light Type to Point and leave all of the settings at the default and click OK.
  2. Click on Point Light in the timeline and press P to bring up the Position settings. Set the position to 173.3, 106.7, -65.0.
  3. Now add an Ambient Light. Layer>New>Light. Light Type: Ambient. Leave the rest alone.

Add Cinelook

  1. Create a new solid. Layer>New>Solid. Call it Background. Make it white and click the Make Comp Size button, then click OK. Drag the solid to the bottom of the timeline.
  2. Apply Cinelook. I used the Itchy & Scratchy preset. I didn't change any of the settings.
  3. Go to the comps SALE Comp 1 and JUNE Comp 1 by either double-clicking on them in the project window, or by clicking the tab in the timeline, if they're still open.
  4. Apply DigiEffects Cinelook to JUNE and SALE. Effect>DigiEffects Cinelook>DE Cinelook. I used the preset Rust. Make sure that you're applying this effect in their own comps and not in the Final comp.
