From the Blackmagic Design beta information page: “This update lets you view custom clip colors in bins as well as clip annotations in the timeline viewer on the edit page. DaVinci Resolve 15 Studio public beta 7 also improves match frame functionality, adds support for Resolve FX and GPU accelerated OpenFX to the Fusion page, adds support for saver nodes in Fusion and enables rendering of Dolby Vision and HDR10+ clips with tone mapping.”

"This update also supports higher bit rate and lossless Kakadu JPEG 2000 encoding. In addition, legacy Fairlight projects can now be opened in DaVinci Resolve on Windows."

This version requires a DaVinci Resolve Studio dongle or activation code. Blackmagic Design would also like your feedback on the software.

Note on the Blackmagic Design website: Some items in the "What's new" section are marked with an asterisk. They may not be fully complete in this public beta release and are expected to be complete in future beta updates.

DaVinci Resolve 15 requires a database upgrade from DaVinci Resolve 14.3 and previous versions. DaVinci Resolve 15.0b2 requires a database upgrade from DaVinci Resolve 15.0b1 on Disk database. We strongly recommend that you backup your existing database (both DiskDB and PostgreSQL) before performing an upgrade.
