David Ariew of arievvisuals.com shows how to make some glass textures with dust, complete with lots of tips and tricks. This tutorial is a must-see if you’re new to or just getting comfy with Octane in Cinema 4D.

Part 1: David explains both the old and new models of creating anisotropic shaders, creating a studio setup with a horizontal lens flares. He'll show you a few HDRI hacks, how to deal with problems with glass, and also show you how to create a wet pavement look.

In part 2: David digs into creating a dust shader over a dark glass material, with several dirt nodes and mix textures. He adds a falloff node to d focus dust on the natural areas where dust would collect. In the end, he generates a complex grungy gold shader.
