Boris FX Continuum Unit: Lens

Emulate in-camera lens effects

Add chromatic aberration and color fringing, add or remove wide angle distortions or bring a hand-held look to the filtered source with Boris Continuum Unit: Lens.

Fix lens distortions, color fringing artifacts and more. Normalize Go-Pro wide angle shots, or distort a normal shot to match a wide angle shot.

Use the Camera Shake filter with it’s built-in motion blur option to emulate a hand-held video shot with a locked down source. Use the Chromatic Aberration filter to match the distorted chroma look of a plastic lens. Add the Radial Exposure filter to selectively relight the image.

Caution: If you already own Boris Continuum, purchasing and installing a new unit or filter will overwrite the whole product and you will only be able to use the filter or unit you purchased.

Highlights include:

  • 6 effects
  • Tons of drag & drop presets
  • HDR-compliant
  • Camera shake & chromatic aberration
  • Go Pro and wide-angle lens distortions
  • FX Editor with custom interface
  • OCIO color management tools
  • More!

The Continuum Lens Unit offers multi-host support with a single license.

Camera Shake

NEW IN CONTINUUM 2021, The BCC Camera Shake filter simulates camera shake using random changes in amplitude, speed, scale, rotation, and motion blur.

Chromatic Aberration

NEW IN CONTINUUM 2021, the BCC Chromatic Aberration simulates the look of chromatic aberration caused by a lens having a different refractive index for different wavelengths of light and is seen as fringes of color around the edges of the image.

DeFringe

NEW IN CONTINUUM 2021, the BCC DeFringe filter isolates and removes the various types of color fringing.

Lens Distortion

NEW IN CONTINUUM 2021, the BCC Lens Distortion filter corrects for pin-cushioning and barrel distortion of camera lenses. It is also useful for creating the look of a wide angle lens.

Radial Exposure

NEW IN CONTINUUM 2021, the BCC Radial Exposure filter lightens and/or darkens the center or edges of an image to correct lens vignetting.

Wide Angle

NEW IN CONTINUUM 2021, the BCC Wide Angle Lens Filter quickly and easily simulates the effect of a wide angle lens.NEW IN CONTINUUM 2021, the BCC Wide Angle Lens Filter quickly and easily simulates the effect of a wide angle lens.
