50 Smoke Animations for Your Render Engine of Choice

The Pixel Lab VDB Smoke Pack Volume 2 has 50 incredibly realistic smoke animations in a VDB format which you can load into any render engine that supports them such as Blender, Octane, Redshift, Arnold, Houdini, Cycles and many more.

Incredible Realism

Attention to Detail

Every animation has real world smoke characteristics.

Quality

Choose Your Resolution

All 50 elements come in 2 versions: a lower quality one for faster renders and an incredibly high quality version for closeups and hero shots.

A Unique Resource

Seamlessly integrate smoke into your scenes

There aren’t many animated .vdbs out there, especially such a large collection. We’re proud to have a huge variety so you can find the perfect animation for your scene!

Focus on What Matters

Get your head out of the simulation slog and stick to what you love doing.  We’ll take care of the technical details, no worries, we won’t tell your client.  You can just drag and drop, iterate, deliver incredible results and get home in time for supper.  No more sim caching, baby.  Introducing the VDB Smoke Pack Volume 2.  Enjoy your free time!

Here are the 50 Animated VDBs included

These are low resolution playblasts so you can preview the animations. (They start at number 51 because this is a continuation of our first Smoke Pack, which has 1-50).

Don’t spend you life in a simulation

You’re in this business to be creative, not to watch simulations cache while staring blankly at the screen.  That’s where VDB Smoke Pack Vol. 2 comes in!  We’ve done all the sims and caching and waiting around.  Now you can just add these to your secene and get to the fun stuff.  Enjoy, and go make some rad art!

If you have never used a .vdb, here are two videos from our VDB Cloud Pack showing the workflow.

Also, you can watch this video to learn about how to set up animated VDBs in Octane and Redshift.

Any application that supports VDBs like Octane, Redshift, Arnold, V-Ray, Houdini, Corona etc.

Lots of hard drive space and fast internet! Each animation is 6-18 gigs. I would recommend downloading the ones you want per project, not all at once!
