Arnaud Michanol of ArtFX School, a French VFX school, was a VFX / Compositing artist on this film noir inspired sci-fi short, The Black Case. Arnaud sent us these great Making of and Behind the Scenes shots for their film. Enjoy!

The Black Case Making-Of
The team on The Black Case included Arnaud Michanol, Alexandre Lemaire, Emeric Meissirel-Marquot and Gautier Zahoner, all featured in The Making Of.
Arnaud said, “I was in charge of the compositing, some tracking, the motion design and on-set, I assumed the role of Director of Photography.” Some of the software he used included Nuke, After Effects, and Maya. The team also used Krakatoa for the dynamics (made by Alexandre Lemaire) , V-Ray for the lighting (made by Emeric Meissirel-Marquot), Video Copilot Optical Flares for some lens effects (used by Arnaud Michanol and Gautier Zahonero) and other plug-ins.
