New: Adobe Creative Cloud October 2022 Releases

During Adobe MAX 2022, Adobe launched some major updates, the October 2022 Release, to Creative Cloud Applications. Below, read a short summary of what’s new in your Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.

Premiere Pro – October 2022 release (version 23.0)
The 23.0 release of Premiere Pro was built for editors who want creative options. This update presents the new titling toolset for streamlining your title and graphics workflows. Adobe added refinements including the ability to edit title clips in bulk in the timeline. Another new option is flexible alignment controls. Not only that, the release brings stability and performance updates, like faster Motion Graphics templates and GPU-accelerated Lumetri scopes. Finally, ARRI ALEXA 35 and AAF on Apple Silicon are supported, expanding interoperability and format support.
Operating system requirements have been updated. As of this release, Premiere Pro no longer includes Legacy Titler.

Inner and outer strokes for graphics
Select between inner, centered, or outer strokes for more control when adding decorative elements to graphics and text in Premiere Pro.

Flexible alignment controls
Line up text and shape elements with one click when designing titles in the Premiere Pro Program Monitor.

Bulk edit titles on the timeline
Select multiple title clips in the Timeline to efficiently change attributes like fonts or font size, colors, and backgrounds.

2x Faster Motion Graphics templates
Motion Graphics templates created in After Effects now use Multi-Frame rendering for 2x faster performance.

Improved performance for AVC Intra
10-bit AVC Intra formats are now up to 2x faster on Apple silicon, thanks to GPU acceleration.

GPU acceleration for Lumetri scopes
GPU acceleration ensures smooth performance when working with Lumetri scopes.

Improved Previews on Windows and macOS
Apple ProRes is now the default codec for previewing most video formats, providing better-quality previews for rendered content.

AAF support for Apple silicon
AAF support extends interoperability for Premiere Pro users working on Apple silicon Macs.

ARRI ALEXA 35 camera support
Premiere Pro adds support for the ARRI ALEXA 35camera, including ARRIRAW and ProRes capture formats.
After Effects – October 2022 release (version 23.0)
The October 2022 (23.0) release includes fantastic new features and workflow improvements, requested by users like yourselves. These improvements let you work more efficiently in After Effects. Design even fine details and never compromise your creative vision.

Select Track Matte Layers
Choose any layer as a track matte using a new drop-down menu in the Modes column. Position the matte layer anywhere in the timeline stack and reuse it for multiple other layers making compositions simpler and more flexible to create.

Native H.264 Encoding
Export your projects quickly with hardware accelerated output and direct rendering of H.264 files from within the Render Queue, giving you the flexibility of choice to natively import out of After Effects or with Adobe Media Encoder.

Composition Presets
Find the most commonly used presets quickly in the Composition Settings with the revamped Composition Presets list. Plus, the composition presets now include sizes for a variety of social platforms.

New Animation Presets
Get over 50 new animation presets created by our After Effects community. Designed for modern motion design workflows, these presets save you time on the techniques you use most, so you can create quick animations and don’t have to start from scratch.

Faster timeline navigation
Add Shift to the J and K hotkeys to quickly jump between keyframes and markers of selected layers and properties.

Cinema 4D optional installer
Choose when to download Cinema 4D with the new Add-ons option during After Effects installation. Install it using the Creative Cloud application when required, or skip it altogether.
Photoshop – October 2022 release (version 24.0)
