New: Allegorithmic Substance Painter 2019.1 Now Available
Substance Painter gets a massive update with release 2019.1. New features include Dynamic Strokes, a new radial option in the Symmetry tool, and much more.
Substance Painter gives you all the tools you need to texture your 3D assets.
What’s new in Painter 2019.1?
Displacement and Tesselation are now in both the realtime viewport and Iray.
You can blend and layer materials easily using their height data. It’s useful for quick height blends, and it also works with any other channel in your texture set!
Dynamic strokes are here: a way to generate procedural brush strokes. This means your brush can evolve over time and the possibilities are amazing. For instance, here, a portion of the rocks come from a Dynamic stroke:
A little time in Substance Designer, a lot of imagination and a Dynamic Stroke can do something like this:
Combine all the functions of a dynamic stroke and you could come up with something like this ivy generator!
The Symmetry Tool has been improved with a brand new Radial option.
