The official release of Phoenix FD 4.0 offers Autodesk 3ds Max and Maya users new thinkingParticles integration, new tuners, active bodies and much more!
Phoenix FD™ is a complete solution for fluid dynamics. It is used to simulate realistic water, fire, and other effects for multiple television series such as Game of Thrones and The Flash, and is specifically designed for fast-paced production.
What’s new in Phoenix FD 4.0?
Phoenix FD 4 for 3ds Max and Maya is available now. We’ve included plenty of new features that give you extra control and creativity while making under-the-hood tweaks so your fluid dynamics experience is faster and smoother.
New Voxel and Particle Tuners
Change each voxel and particle’s properties during simulation, and use customizable conditions to delete particles.
Float your objects over pools or wash them away in floods with basic rigid body simulation for Phoenix liquids.
Transport texture coordinates along fluids during simulation and use them for advanced render-time effects.
Standalone Cache Preview tool
Load AUR, VDB and F3D cache files, preview them and save image sequences.
Create procedural foam coloring of ocean waves without simulation.
INTRODUCTION OF SIMULATION LICENSE PACKAGES
With the release of Phoenix FD 4 for 3ds Max and Maya, we will no longer offer volume discounts based on the number of simulation licenses purchased. Users can take advantage of running simulations on multiple machines via our predefined Phoenix Simulation License packs with integrated discounts.
Customers willing to upgrade to Phoenix FD 4 will be able to choose the number and type of upgrade packs which fits best their current simulation license count or upgrade them individually. For all customers whose current number of simulation licenses does not equally match the proposed standard packs (alone or combined), we’ll offer special migration options at a lower price.
For questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Important: Phoenix FD 4 Simulation License Packs cannot be upgraded partially and cannot be combined to achieve a better volume discount during future upgrades.
