News: Boris FX Sapphire and Autodesk Sparks Compatibility
Boris FX has announced that they will discontinue Sapphire Sparks for Autodesk Flame with the release of Sapphire 2020. Not to worry though, you will still be able to use Sapphire in Flame via the OFX option. For more info, read on.
A note about Sapphire Sparks
After much consideration, Boris FX has decided to discontinue Sapphire Sparks for Autodesk Flame. Sapphire 2019.5 will be the last release supporting Autodesk Sparks. All future Sapphire releases for Autodesk Flame will be in the form of Sapphire OFX plugins.
Customers who purchased either Sapphire 2019 (or 2019.5) for Autodesk Sparks are entitled to a free upgrade to the next version of Sapphire — Sapphire 2020 coming soon — per the terms of the Boris FX Upgrade and Support contract.
In lieu of a Sparks upgrade, eligible customers will be issued a complimentary license for Sapphire 2020 OFX. This complimentary Sapphire 2020 OFX license will not extend existing Upgrade and Support contracts. The original termination date will still apply.
Please contact your account manager or email email@example.com with the subject line “Sparks Crossgrade” for information on how to activate your Sapphire 2020 OFX license.
