News: X-Particles: New Tools and Features in X-Particles
INSYDIUM has released details on some of the new X-Particles features like xpShatter, xpDynamics, and xpQuickTools. Although it’s still in beta, you can get these new features through the early access programme.
What’s new in X-Particles?
The new xpShatter allows you to break apart any Scene Object. You can use Objects, Splines, Particles and Point Generators to control Shattering. Full integration means you can use X-Particles Modifiers, Questions & Actions, Data Mapping and Dynamics to control the shattered object pieces. Multiple shatters can be triggered using Time, Speed, Volumes and Collisions. Recursive shattering can be simulated by layering up unlimited shatter layers and triggers. You’ve even got pre-sets to help you quickly create Glass and Wood Shatter Models.
The new xpDynamics allows you to make scene objects dynamic. They work with parametric and polygon objects, Splines, Mograph cloners and X-Particles Sprites and Generators. The dynamics are fully integrated into the X-Particle system and work with Fluids, Smoke, Fire and constraints. Dynamic objects can be controlled and art-directed using X-Particles Emitters, Modifiers, Questions & Actions, and Data Mapping. Objects can be simulated with either rigid or soft-body dynamics. All of this, gives you complete artistic control.
Quick Tools Overview
The New Quick Tools feature introduces one-click solutions in setting up commonly used X-Particles scenes and settings. Guaranteed to speed up your workflow during production. 25 scene pre-sets, particle simulations and workflow tools are organised into 5 sections: – Particle FX – Fluids and Grains – Smoke, Fire and Advection – Trails – Workflow

Can’t wait to get your hands on the new X-Particles?
Become part of the the Early Access Programme.
Early Access Programme will provide a regular stream of major new features throughout the year, accessible to everyone who owns X-Particles or Cycles 4D latest release with up-to-date maintenance.
You can choose to try these features with our Early Access Programme. As an Early Release, it should be mostly bug-free, but you don’t have to use it. It’s up to you.
The Bridge is included within this Early Access Release update. Therefore, if you are running an earlier release of Cinema 4D or Cinema 4D R20, this Early Access Build will work.
An essential component of an artist’s toolkit, X-Particles is the solution to satisfy all your particle needs: Cloth, Smoke, Fire, and Fluids. Designers can switch effortlessly between motion graphics and VFX, within a unified system.
