Spotlight on Pilgway Studio

Pilgway Studio, makers of 3DCoat, is a software development studio headquartered in Kyiv, Ukraine. As you can imagine, it’s a stressful situation in Kyiv and the rest of Ukraine right now. We want to send our support and love to the team at Pilgway Studio and to all of the people of Ukraine.

Pilgway Studios Current Situation

We, the Pilgway team, are in Ukraine and now our country and all of us are going through a very difficult test. Russia started a full-scale war against us. Most of our team was in Kyiv before the start of the war. Now Kyiv is being bombed by rockets at night and a significant part of the population has left the city. At the moment, part of our team has left Kyiv, and part has remained in fairly safe places. We continue to develop 3DCoat and plan to launch a release video for 3DCoat 2022 soon.

We can imagine that working on software helps to keep their minds off of the terror that is unfolding around them. Andrew Shpagin posted on his Twitter account yesterday that they released an update for 3DCoat, version 2022.09, with bug fixes.

If you’re wondering, 3DCoat is a robust 3D application that includes “all the tools you need to take your 3D idea from a block of digital clay all the way to a production-ready, fully textured organic or hard surface model.” In fact, 3DCoat is taught around the world at more than 300 universities, colleges, and schools worldwide.
