The ChangeLog: Plugin Everything, FxFactory, Adobe, Autodesk, more!
Happy Summer Solstice! It has been another busy week for updates and June releases! We have updates from this week from Plugin Everything, FxFactory, Autodesk, Adobe, Blue Cat Audio, and more!
Although these are small point updates, they’re often important updates. They can add support for hosts and remove support for older hosts. Sometimes bugs that have been driving you mad can get fixed, and other times it’s a crucial security fix. And, sometimes they’re just giving you some great new features!
I’ve also tried to make The Change Log more concise so I’ve removed product descriptions and left it as a button to learn more about a product. Scroll down to see what’s new!
Plugin Everything TextBox 2, v1.1
The version 1.1 update was released on June 10, 2019.
- Better multi-threading utilization
- Trim paths
- Round each corner based on a unique percentage
- Ascender/Descender option that locks the height so animating text won’t change the height abruptly
— Plugin Everything (@plug_everything) June 19, 2019
This version delivers bug fixes and improvements for all users. Version 7.1.2 was the last version to support Mac OS Sierra.
After Effects CC 2019 v16.1.2
On June 19, Adobe Released the 16.1.2 update for After Effects. It provides fixes for a slew of issues, for example, general stability, expressions, and crash issues.
Dreamweaver CC 2019 v19.2
The June update includes Code formatting enhancements. Code formatting experience is now improved with support for tag libraries used to format rules for HTML code in PHP file types.
Both After Effects and Dreamweaver are a free update to anyone with a current Creative Cloud subscription.
This is a new product still with introductory pricing but they’ve had 2 updates this week to fix some bugs and add new features that must not have been ready in time for release.
What’s new in v1.0.3 (June 20)
- Render Status progress bar updated
- “Save multiprocessing versions” logic changed. Unchecked – renders to the same folder (use for multi-machine render). Checked – creates a version folder for each render.
There are also a couple of bug fixes in this release. v1.0.2 came out June 17. See all of the updates in the changelog.
The main new feature in Mudbox 2019.1 is Automatic Interface Scaling. Mudbox now automatically rescales the user interface based on the resolution of your monitor to accommodate high-resolution 4K monitors. As a result, Interface Scaling settings in the Mudbox Setup window and the User Interface Preferences have been removed. There are also many bug fixes. All current subscribers can update to this release.
From the Blue Cat announcement:
These new versions bring many improvements, including a new presets browser with search capabilities, two new built-in plug-ins, full MIDI I/O support for VST3, several third-party plug-ins hosting enhancements and much more! It’s a recommended free update for all!
As usual, the update can be downloaded from the same location as the original full version (link received by email upon purchase).
Sapphire 2019.5 is actually a major update with a dot in the version number. It includes 4 new effects and transitions plus streamlined workflows and OFX plugin support for Autodesk Flame 2020. If you purchased Sapphire 2019 or are on a current Sapphire upgrade and support plan or annual subscription, the update is FREE!
