Update: Digital Anarchy M1 Builds

Update: Digital Anarchy FCPX Plugins for Big Sur and M1 Apple Silicon Macs

Digital Anarchy M1 builds for Flicker Free and Beauty Box have now been posted for Adobe Premiere Pro.

M1 builds been available for FCP for a few months. These don’t use the M1 in After Effects, as there is not an M1 build of AE yet. If you don’t have the most current release of the plugins, you’ll need to upgrade. It was a lot of work to port these to M1 and Digital Anaarchy is only updating the most current release. In terms of new technology, these also support Metal, AE’s Multi-Frame Rendering, and have new optimizations for CUDA, among other improvements.

Digital Anarchy has released new versions of Beauty Box and Flicker Free to include M1 support for Premiere Pro and FCP.

They now support Apple Metal GPU and After Effects’ Multiframe Rendering as well. The FCP M1 builds were released a couple months ago, taking advantage of the new features in FCP 10.5.2, including FCP’s new plugin architecture. Those have been updated with a number of bug fixes. Improving performance and reliability on both Intel and Apple Silicon in FCP.

There are also further improvements to the GPU code to help support 4K and beyond and provide better CUDA performance on Windows.

Samurai Sharpen and Light Wrap Fantastic are also being optimized. They are now testing the new versions, which should be available for download soon at www.digitalanarchy.com.

Davinci Resolve versions should be coming soon as well.

These are only supported in the most recent versions of the plugins, Flicker Free 2.x and Beauty Box 5.x, so you’ll need to upgrade if you don’t have those versions. The Flicker Free and Beauty Box upgrades are available at https://store.digitalanarchy.com/24-upgrades
