Coremelt Chromatic

The Most Comprehensive and Powerful Grading Tool for FCPX

Chromatic is the most complete and flexible professional color grading plugin for Final Cut Pro X. Featuring integrated mask tracking (with Academy Award winning Mocha tracking technology), powerful color keying, support for auto white balance including using the XRite Passport Video and powerful linked grading capabilities using grade groups. Unlike other FCPX solutions, in Chromatic all of these functions and more are available in one powerful color correction product.

Highlights

chromatic

We are constantly refining and adding new features to Chromatic and we love getting feedback and enhancement requests.  Since the launch of Chromatic we have added Improved Hotkeys, Gallery browser for your stack presets, compare buffers to quickly do shot to shot comparisons, exporting grades as CUBE files, support for the Tangent Ripple control surface,  Auto Balance using Passport Video and Grade Groups.

This color grading plugin delivers an all-in-one Final Cut Pro X solution which puts the essential tools right at your fingertips in a simple clear interface, including tracked masks, with individual control of the overall grade, as well as inside and outside the mask. Also included are Camera LUTs for many popular cameras that can shoot with a log color curve, including Sony A7S2, Canon DSLRs, Panasonic GH5, Blackmagic Design cameras and more. No additional installation, no more hunting for LUT files – it's drag and drop.

The included AutoWhite Balance can quickly help mitigate issues of poor color balance on set, using either whole scene analysis or by picking a reference white, a huge time saver. Many people have long wished for full Photoshop-style RGB curve controls for Final Cut Pro X. Now you have them. With the inclusion of RGB, HSL, advanced LAB Curves, as well as other advanced curve controls such as Hue-vs-Saturation, we feel that Chromatic can truly compete with any other FCPX color correction plugin available.

Chromatic is the only Final Cut Pro color grading solution with fully integrated tracked masks.  With just one layer you can apply an overall grade, as well as inside and outside the mask, saving the otherwise tedious task of duplicating layers and complicating the timeline.

For more tutorials, visit the Details page.

Chromatic can load LUT files as part of the workflow but we also include a license for our stand alone LUT loader LUTx and the feature film look collection.  We have other LUT collections for sale and you can also create your own LUT collection of standard CUBE files or import any LUT files you have purchased elsewhere.  Manage your LUT collections with real time previews of the clip on the timeline using our own custom LUT gallery.

At CoreMelt we have a solid back ground in real world post production, members of our team have worked on everything from block buster feature films, to music videos to high end television commercials.  We listen and we test in the real world.  Here's what our beta testers had to say:
