This beginner-level tutorial explains how to setup a realistic billowing smoke in Sitni Sati FumeFX. This is the type of billowing smoke that can be used for effects like pyroclastic clouds from volcanic eruptions. Other uses include the smoke from a space ship launch or even avalanches.
FumeFX is a powerful fluid dynamics plugin-in for Maxon Cinema 4D, Maya, and 3ds Max. There was a new feature in FumeFX 5.0.4 called the Parameter Check option. To explain, it allows users to see which parameters were changed quickly and easily.
