Tudor “Ted” Jelescu shows how to create a highly-realistic 3D panel in After Effects using FreeForm Pro. He starts with a Royalty-free 2D image, and uses the displacement mapping feature in FreeForm Pro to create his model. He controls the reflectivity in different regions of the panel, which gives some highly reflective surface areas as well as matte areas. This helps to achieve the realism in the finished piece.
