Create a Realistic Water Fountain Simulation with thinkingParticles

In this video, cebas explains how to create a realistic multi-level water flow simulation of a Water Fountain. This tutorial is made for 3ds Max and thinkingParticles Subscription Drop 9 and newer. This tutorial uses the latest thinkingParticles Fluid solver and the OpenVDBShape operator to create the surface.

Two key points of the tutorial include:

  1. Use the Flow emitter to create a constant flow of fluid particles
  2. Make use of the Waterlevel Node to pre-fill containers with fluid particles to save simulation time.
