Description
eyeon's latest contribution to the plug-in mania has been the highly successful AE Plug-in Adapter, first previewed in 1999. The plug-in adapter is now a supported offering and allows a broad variety of AE plug-ins to run in Digital Fusion and DFX+.
eyeon Software Inc. will regularly include the latest information on the uses of the plug-in adapter, and the degree of functionality per plugin as it is available.
Compatible Plug-ins
The AE plug-in adapter allows full functionality with most AE plug-ins. Unfortunately due to the large number of AE plug-ins currently available we do not have the resources to test every single one for compatibility. The list below is an example of well-known AE plug-ins that Digital Fusion or DFX+ users can take advantage of:

- Trapcode Shine
- Boris FX, Inc
- DigiEffects CineLook
- The Foundry
- Panopticum Tools

The AE Plug-in Adapter is currently a standard part of the Digital Fusion and DFX+ toolset and is installed by default whenever either of these applications are installed.
Usage Instructions
To use any AE plug-in within Digital Fusion or DFX+ you will first need to ensure that an 'AEPlugins' folder exists within the folder where either of these applications were installed. (This folder will sit parallel to the standard 'Plugins' folder.) If this folder does not exist simply create one.
Then, place any *.aex plug-in files into this 'AEPlugins' folder. The next time you load Digital Fusion or DFX+ you should see an 'AE' section under the Tools drop down menu that includes any available AE plug-ins.
