Filters
- Topaz De-Block - Topaz De-Block is an effective filter that allows you to remove blockiness and other artifacts caused by video compression. These usually take the form of vertical and horizontal lines best seen in YUV, and bits of noise next to sharp edges. Topaz De-Block effectively eliminates these compression artifacts without resulting blur and lost of details.
- Topaz Sharpen (YUV) - Topaz Sharpen (YUV) sharpens both the luminance (Y) and the chrominance (UV) of video frames. Unlike standard Sharpen or Unsharpen mask filters, Topaz Sharpen not only sharpens the video but it also suppresses noise, enhances line features, and anti-aliases. This allows you to maximize your video sharpness while keeping the noise level down.
- Topaz Edge (YUV) - Topaz Edge (YUV) is a unique filter that enhances the edges of luminance (Y) and chrominance (UV) channels of video frames. Instead of using highpass filter sharpening, Topaz Edge analyzes your video and synthesizes the proper edges. This results in clean, clear, and crisp edges without overshooting. Most importantly, it is capable of recovering color edges lost due to color subsampling of video codecs, e.g., DV. The enhanced frame can then be more easily processed through post-production, especially matting.

This innovative use of neighboring frames also gets rid of any color flickering in the processed frames, making for a smooth and clear video.
