Updates: Chaos Group Phoenix FD for 3ds Max and Maya 4.20.00

Chaos Group has updated both Phoenix FD for 3ds Max and Maya to version 4.20.00 with Update 2, adding new features and updated host support.

Phoenix FD 4.20.00 Highlights

• Improved previews in the Standalone, 3ds Max previews in the 3ds Max version, and Maya previews in the Maya version.
• In addition, added support for Particle Shader Fog mode rendering with V-Ray GPU in both versions.
• Similarly, they added support for particle displacement for Fog mode for both.
• Particle Shaders can now be rendered in V-Ray CPU IPR as well.
• Finally, for both versions, they improved TexUVW for smoke simulations and implemented filling an emitter’s volume with TexUVW and RGB.
• Most importantly, Chaos Group added support for V-Ray 5 and for 3ds Max 2021 for Phoenix FD for 3ds Max.
• As you would expect, they did many changes under the hood and we fixed many bugs.
