Pro Media Tools is a suite of workflow tools designed to simplify media management and streamline workflows in Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere for Mac.

The suite contains tools for detecting gamma shifts, editing QuickTime movie metadata, watching render files, editing markers, and much more. The applications are capable of outputting a variety of file formats to suit different editing systems and workflows.

What's new in version 1.7?

Strip transitions

Timeline Tricks can now strip audio and/or video transitions from FCP 7 XML files, which can be useful before outputting an OMF or AAF for sound mixing.

Edit Detector and Video Check can now export marker EDLs to DaVinci Resolve.

To import the EDLs into Resolve, right-click the timeline in the Media or Edit window, then go to Timelines > Import > Markers from EDL.

Batch Renamer queue management

You can now easily clear the file list in Batch Renamer by clicking the Clear button and can set this to occur automatically after processing in Preferences.

Other changes

  • QT Edit - Space bar now plays back video
  • QT Edit - Track Name is now the default selected tab when selecting a track
  • Video Check - Fixed an issue where results may be color-coded incorrectly
  • Video Check - Fixed an issue where the Export dialog would default to a .txt extension irrespective of the initial output type
