Adobe Substance 3D New Partnerships with Epic Games and Autodesk
Adobe Substance 3D has announced that they are partnering with both Epic Games and Autodesk. The partnerships were announced at GDC 2023 during the Adobe Substance 3D Keynote.
Epic Games Partnership
With Epic Games, the companies are partnering for the purpose of bringing more powerful tools to game creators.
In support of our shared vision with Epic, Adobe will make versions of Substance Modeler and Painter available to creators on Fab, a next-generation, unified digital marketplace from Epic Games launching later this year. The Fab marketplace will bring together a massive community of artists and developers, providing everything creators need to build digital worlds in one place, from 3D models, animations, visual FX, and more.

Autodesk Partnership
Adobe also announced that they are partnering with Autodesk to put cross-platform standards in place for 3D models. Their plan is to create a new material model format that combines the Autodesk Standard Surface and Adobe Standard Material. The format will be available across the industry.
