First Animals Collection

The first one comes via CG Channel. It includes models created for the First Animals exhibition at Oxford University Museum of Natural History. Learn about some ancient creatures while downloading some cool models from Sketchfab. Use the models freely, as they use a Creative Commons attribution non-commercial license. Format: OBJ, FBX format

Thosands of Free Models from The Smithsonian

Another via CG Channel, The Smithsonian models launched an Open Access Initiative during the lockdown, which includes 3.9 million 2D & 3D digital items These files also use a CC0 license.

For example, below, check out a Triceratops horridus Marsh from 1889.

In addition, download busts of famous people, all sorts of bones, the Wright Brother’s Plane, the Command Module from Apollo 11, corals, and ancient antiquities. Format: OBJ files or in glTF.
