What’s new in Vue & PlantFactory 2021?

Major Integration Improvements with Cinema 4D*

 The integration plugins are now compatible with Cinema 4D R23.

Render your scenes entirely with Arnold or V-Ray inside C4D with support for native material creation. Convert any object from a VUE scene into a native C4D object. The plugin will take care of generating all materials automatically for the selected target render engine.

Use the technology preview of the PlantFactory plugin and load procedural *.tpf models natively into Cinema without the need for exporting them first. The plugin will again take care of all Arnold and V-Ray materials and shaders.

Alternatively, use the rewritten scene export from VUE standalone to *.c4d format with support for cameras, animation and multi-instances.

USD Export*

Pixar’s open source Universal Scene Description format is now supported in all e-on products. Export objects with materials, animation data, instances etc. to any supported application.

Leaf Clusters

PlantFactory now supports the conversion of 3D geometry into textured planes (single plane or multiple crossed planes). This includes baking color / diffuse, normals, backlight, alpha and ambient occlusion channels. The created leaf component can then be used to replace the original geometry, producing a low-polygon version for real-time use.
