Update: Cebas thinkingParticles 7.3 SP 1
Yesterday, Cebas updated thinkingParticles 7.3 with SP 1 (Service Pack 1, that is).
On their Facebook page, they shared the following:
We’re excited to announce the latest update to our powerful particle simulation software. With this service pack, we’ve added even more features and enhancements to give you the tools you need to create stunning, physically-based simulations.
We have now a total of 414 sample files installed with each new release of tP! Service Pack not only offers Bug Fixes – SplinePhysics is all new and enhanced thanks to ME-L!
New ME-L Functions / Additions in SP1:
field_in_ptransform: transform a coordinate in relation to a VDB field
distancefield_in_distance: calculate the distance between two points within a distance field
exp_desc: added a new Node Iteration functionality
objects_in_geom & pshape_geom: both functions can now get the interpolated vertex color of either face or edge
ME-L Node: a new input type “port_splinepool” has been added to allow for direct connection with a tp SplinePool node, enabling full programmatic access to spline creation and spline physics functionality
ME-L SplinePool input functions: enhanced spline manipulation/physics tools through the addition of new ME-L functions
We’ve also fixed several bugs, including a crash that occurred when switching to a tP group containing an emitter with a custom display object, an issue where tP would fail to import particles if the particle count exceeded the available memory limit.
