Review: Native Instruments Komplete 14 by MusicTech

Hollin Jones at MusicTech gives a review of Native Instruments Komplete 14, a tool that Toolfarm recently started carrying in our store. Jones’ review is titled “Native Instruments Komplete 14 review: A mighty collection of musical tools for the modern producer”. In the end, he gives the bundle a 9/10. But why did he give it such a high score?

He explains how Native Instruments has joined forces with Brainworx, iZotope, and Plugin Alliance to form the Soundwide group.

The result is a dizzying number of products in total, with over 60 new additions in this version alone.

Hollin Jones, MusicTech

To explain, there are 4 versions of Native Instruments Komplete 14 that includes an unbelievable amount of software and sounds.

  • Select Edition. Hollin explains that this version is “the most affordable and comes with 19 instruments including the Player editions of Kontakt and Reaktor as well as some core sound packs totaling over 15,000 sounds and a size of 34GB.”
  • Standard bundle. This version costs more “but dramatically increases your haul, with 87 instruments and 230GB of content.” He argues that this is the best deal for most music creators. It includes full versions of Reaktor 6, Massive X, Battery 4, Polyplex, and iZotope’s Ozone 10 Standard!
  • Ultimate is the version aimed at sound designers and composers.
  • Collector’s Edition “contains the full versions of everything”
