News: INSYDIUM Fused Competition Winner – Farid Ghanbari

Art director/3D artist Farid Ghanbari recently won the Multiple Category in the INSYDIUM Fused Competition. He chatted with INSYDIUM about the work he does and the contest.

Here’s an excerpt from the interview:

“Please tell us a little about yourself and what you do.

I call myself an Art director/3D artist. I have worked in this industry for more than 13 years and have had the chance to work full-time for companies like MPC, 3FX and The Mill. I have also had the opportunity to work individually for brands like Nike, Levis, Adidas, Apple, Twitter and Crocs.

I love what I do. My job involves creativity, and understanding colors, textures, forms, simulations, lighting and details.

So, you entered the INSYDIUM Fused Competition and came first in the multiple category. Please give us a quick breakdown of the tools you used to create this animation.

Working on the INSYDIUM competition was fun! I would love to participate in the next one.

For this entry, I used Cinema 4D and Redshift as the base of software, and then with all the comprehensive X-Particles, Taiao and MeshTools plugins from INSYDIUM, I was able to mix particles and fire simulation with branches and stylish-looking ice.”
