It’s time for the Cinema 4D R23 Compatibility List! Indeed, we are excited about the release of Cinema 4D R23 with its enhancements to Animation, Character and UV Workflows, Magic Bullet Looks Integration, and more.

As with any new release, compatibility can be an issue. We have put together a list of products and information to keep you informed about plug-in and product compatibility. Please let us know if you have any information that should be included on this list. We will be updating this page as new information is learned. Look for the New badge.

Cinema 4D R23 System Requirements

Windows: Windows 10 64-bit on Intel or AMD 64-bit CPU with SSE3 support

macOS: 10.14 or higher with 64-bit CPU running on Intel-based Apple Macintosh
To run future releases of Cinema 4D on Mac, you’ll need at least macOS 10.14 and a supported Mac system with at least macOS GPU Family 1_v3. You can check the Metal compatibility in the macOS System Information, Graphics tab.

We recommend updating to macOS 10.15. There are a number of enhancements to Metal in the latest macOS which will improve the performance, stability, and interaction with the viewport.

Linux:

• CentOS 7, 64bit
• Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, 64bit.

The U-RENDER 2020.9.2 has Full Integration with Cinema 4D R23.

Thanks to this update, you can work directly in Cinema 4D, by using the live rendering in the C4D’s viewport. The background object rendering now works in the viewport that is already familiar to you. It means that, by installing U-RENDER, you don’t have to learn or get used to a different viewport. The real-time render engine is now fully integrated with your favourite 3D software suite.
