Maya Monday: Destructing Elements with Pulldownit

Envato’s CGI Tuts+ has a multi-part series from Uriel Deveaud named “Destructing Elements in Maya With PullDownIt” that you don’t want to miss. Pulldownit for Maya is a dynamics solver that allows digital artists to quickly simulate fractures and cracks in models, as well as massive rigid bodies simulations. In short, it’s great for things like simulating cracking buildings and rocks.
There is not a video preview for all of the chapters, however, I added them if they exist.

Shatter and Destruction Plug-in
Pulldownit is a dynamics solver which allows for the creation of fractures as well as massive rigid bodies simulations. By using its technology digital artists are able to simulate fast and easily the collapse of buildings, cracking surfaces or fracturing any kind of brittle material.
