Artwork Mapping with Extrudalizer
This tutorial explains the two ways of mapping artwork to the front or back of an extruded shape in Extrudalizer, and when to use which.
Extrudalizer offers two ways of mapping artwork to the front or back of the Extrudalized shape. The basic method is used for any animation that is not going to be exported to Lottie. It is quick and conserves resources, but it will not be exported as part of a Lottie animation due to the current limitations of the format. If you are planning to create a Lottie animation check the box in the Map Art dialog that you are presented with when you click on the Map Art button on the first tab of the UI.
Extrudalizer
3D in 2D!
Extrudalizer allows you to extrude any 2D shape layer into virtual 3D space, control its depth, position, rotation, and scale. You can set up appearance, animation, and even manipulate the original 2D path with the Extrudalized shape repeating this manipulation. The script is 100% Lottie compatible for web use (bake expressions to keyframes for mobile app use) and can be exported using the Bodymovin plugin.
