Fire in the Ball, cebas finalFluid Advanced
Learn how to use finalFluid to setup a Fire & Smoke effect contained within a Sphere. In part 1, a standard 3ds Max wind force is used in creating a more dynamic smoke and fire behavior.
Then, in Part 2 of this video series, You will learn how to export velocity information to drive particle animations. Particles will follow the exact behavior of the fluid simulation.
What is finalFluid?
finalFluid is an NVIDIA GPU-only based dynamic Eulerian fluid simulation system used to create advanced smoke and fire effects. It leverages a Sparse Voxel Grid within an unbounded simulation domain. finalFluid is different. Its solver allocates simulation blocks in a dynamic way. It uses only memory in active/resident regions of interest. In other words, finalFluid removes a long-standing restriction of GPU fluid solvers. Regular grids waste enormous amounts of memory in regions where nothing happens at all!
